Welcome to The Cycle, a panel ensemble show hosted by MSNBC contributors Steve Kornacki, S.E Cupp, Krystal Ball, and Touré. The Cycle is a TIS show- topical, interesting, and smart. All four hosts will take turns facilitating the discussion and bring an interesting voice and background to the topics discussed each day.
This blog will serve as an extension from the program where every day we will post videos from the show along with commentary on what was discussed during the hour.
Be sure to tune in every weekday at 3pm et, 12pm pt, on MSNBC to see what these four bring to the table and check back here for brand new content!
Don't miss the premier Monday June, 25th at 3pm!

I cringed watching the debut show.
S.E. Cupp: total, unredeemable jerk (and I say this regardless of her politics).
Crystal Ball: Substantively smart, but her showy style engulfs her, making it hard to take seriously anything she says.
Toure: sniveling, posturing jerk.
Steve Kornacki, who is a keen political observer and has a to-the-point, clearcut delivery, ought to decamp pronto. This show has all the earmarks of a disaster. Or alternatively--lose the abovementioned three, and make this Steve's show.
I disliked Dylan Ratigan's affectless delivery and his inability to make concise statements, but The Cycle is far, far worse. Who is MSNBC hoping will watch? Why mimic Fox on this or anything??
Never trust a "Salon" Democrat. My question is when will Kornacki begin lobbying for the Keystone Pipeline.
You sound every so supercilious. But what do I know? I think the show is vibrant and wonderful, in spite of the obnoxious Ms. Cupp.
Guest Courtesy suggestion -
I was just watching the group's interview with the former Facebook Author. It was going well with the 5-shot. Then at one point, the camera just switched back to the table and the 4-shot and the group spun off on some tangent about the market capitalization of Facebook, competing social media sites and the old-days of Myspace etc.
THEY LEFT THEIR GUEST IN LIMBO! She wasn't on the screen! The interview wasn't over!
In the future, if you want to discuss tangent aspects that come out of an interview, it would be more respectiful of the guest to end the interview with them first. I'm sure the author was wondering if you were coming back to her, or if she was done? Very rude on the Cyclers' parts!
Good Luck with your show.
Well, this will be a hour that I will find something else to do.
just watched the first five minutes of this new show . and believe it or not msnbc has found some more liberals to grace their airways. Cut the young republican off because he was not of their persuation. Good job msnbc another loser
no one on this show is qualified to talk about the situation in the middle east. Just saw them commenting on Egypt. No clue what theyre talking about
OK so far, but get rid of the right wingers. They all suck, no matter how young they are.
apprentices from bimbauh and beck
wow, S.E. Cupp is so likeable. She really needs to get off this show. Maybe her, joe scarborough and their hipster glasses can create their own show of fox news

Looks like MSNBC is moving further and further to the right. Every show I watch has more and more conservatives on it. If I wanted to listen to the right lie to me, I would watch Fox News. S.E. Cupp was saying the President should be impeached for his overreach. I will just bypass The Cycle and stay with the Ed, Rachael, Lawrence and the Current channel.
Seems that is what most people are thinking ecevans*. I'll find something productive the to do.
this show is creeping to the far out right*
They are creeping (no pun intended) to the far out right I've noticed when far outs say the birther type talk, they are not challenged with the facts...what's going on msnnbc???
curious
I'm gonna give this some time, but today it was a mess. I love Steve Kornacki and think you should just give him the anchor and let him host solo, with Toure on occasionally. Cupp should go to Fox where she would be welcomed with open arms. She is so ideologically slanted that she is a real toad in this format on MSNBC -- your viewers are too smart to put up with watching her strut her right-wing marching chant. I don't mind / no, I relish good solid debate but Cupp is annoying and will eventually lose her sandpaper voice if she doesn't calm down. She's got an axe to grind and isn't really interested in concepts and solid debate (a trait that goes all the way to the right side of the House!). This 4-chair format is going to get old fast and will get in the way of bringing other interesting people on. My vote: Kornacki solo!
Prosody stole my thunder. I'm glad to see radical Ratigan gone but this is just a continuation of 'YELLTV'. I am not a Toure fan...I think he is a racist. Haven't seen Cupp that much but she seems to be on the very right side of the Republican Party and we know what that is doing to our country.
Kornacki is too nice to yell and therefore his opinions get lost in the melee.
Prediction: The Cycle will be very short-lived in my opinion.
send cupp to bimbaugh news she gets her facts there - it's perfect!
Hate that awful rhetoric hateful person you have on. Get her off - she doesn't belong and she ruins the show. How dare she say all those things against our great president when her republican presidents did so much harm for us. How could she talk about impeachment when our president Obama does everything he can for us and is so honest. I will NOT watch it as long as her nasty mouth is on. You can disagree but she went over the top. I wonder who paid her to say all that nastiness. I will spread the word, Unless she is gone. My friends and I won't watch her demonic antics. She repeats all the untruths and rhetoric and does NOT have a clue. Get rid of her The rest of you are G R E A T. It's okay to disagree but she was horrid. Good bye to your show until she is gone!
Prosody (#29) stole my thunder. I was glad to see radical Ratigan gone, but this is just a continuation of 'YELL TV'. Cupp is so "right" of the right-wing Republican party and this kind of think is what has gotten us into the mess we're in.
Toure, it appears, is a intolerant loudmouth. He would do well on Fox News.
This show is destine for a very short life.
I have a suggestion: Give Martin Brashir a two hour show. He is fabulous!!!
I know of a great way to improve your show. GET RID OF ASSIE CUPP. She is so full of lies and half-truths so she would be a shoo-in for an anchor on Fox Noise. Get rid of the @!$%#ing bitch!!
I'm intrigued by S.E. Cupp. As much as I want to attack her for saying things I disagree with I can't help but remind myself to treat others as I wish to be treated...but in all honesty...It's in the execution I find disagreeable and can be observed on both sides. This aggressive you stole my lunch attitude that I'm beginning to attach to all of these political buffs...so annoying.
Just watched todays show. Love the cast. Although we are polar opposites politically, I even like SE cause she's snarky and ballsy. To Toure: Dude you gotta stop using SE's lipgloss, it's way too shiney for your lips.lmao Bravo and keep it up kids!
Now. Now. Let's not be vile, especially now. It is only 2 days in, "can't we all just get along??" - Rodney King, in memory
Don't forget all the mandates that you have to register births, marriages, and deaths. Everyone has done this since about 1890. Can't even leave the hospital with that new baby without registering the birth.
SE Cupp, needs to go. She is a typical Republican spewing falsehoods. Send her to Fox.
Yeah, a show with four leftists agreeing with each other on everything would be a ratings bonanza. Right.
OK, I gave The Cycle three days and this show is nothing but a bunch of juveniles discussing grown up serious matters. Intellectual? They are not (specially S.E. who seem to have an IQ of South Carolina miss teen USA...such as...she truly is laughable). Well I can use an hour off watching MSNBC every day now.
SE Cupp has repeatedly disagreed with the necessity of the Lilly Ledbetter Act: Ms. Cupp, before you speak out against this you must qualify your statement -which sounds so odd coming from a woman. Ms. Cupp:
Do you make equal pay? Are you positively convinced you are not discriminated against on the job?
I hope so, because you come across as self-satisfied.
Referring to voter mandates I have to say I agree with S.E. Cupp as far as the voter mandate is concerned. I'm black and a progressive so that is not easy for me to say. I'm also not against mandates. I just think that the incentive to vote should be tied the states themselves. Instead of apportioning congressional representation to the number of people that live in a state tie the number of representatives to the number of voters in the state. This would make the states come up with their own procedures for increasing voter rolls. Then republicans or democrats could have any and all the rules about preventing voter fraud they want - In fact both sides would probably want verification of voters - but this would force the state to put forth serious efforts to get people registered knowing that denying voters their right to vote puts that state at risk of losing representation thus losing power and isn't that what it is all about. If it increases the number of voters then power is shifted to them. It would take an amendment to do it so it won't happen.
I am liking this show!!!! Big Up to Toure, a Beantown original!
Get rid of Cupp - hate her voice - hate her style - she is not cute she belongs on the other channel. We know the Republican talking points - we need to discuss the fallacy of them. Bringing in all of the information they leave out.
The Cycle on msnbc!!!!!!
A poor ripoff of The Five on FOX!!!!!!
