Like so many other celebrities, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the next on the list to host a star-studded celebrity fundraiser for President Obama’s re-election campaign. The event this evening will be held at Jay-Z’s 40/40 club where entry is $40,000.
While these events have drawn criticism from the Republicans and some Democratic they ensure that those who cannot afford the initial price tag are put into a lottery system. Beyoncé sent a mass email to all of President Obama’s supporters last weekend offering a chance to attend the fundraiser if they donated $9 by midnight. These are just some of the ways the campaign is trying to include everyone instead of the tactic of the deep-pocketed billionaire. August marked the first time Obama’s campaign outraised Romney’s campaign, with the average donation amounting to just $58.

This type of fundraising is fine with me (private disability retirement plus Social Security and Medicare). Liberal rich people can donate any way they want to. How is this kind of "party" that much different of a motivation than Mitt saying what he did at his private fundraiser? The candidate/campaign uses strategies to get the money they want.
I want to know why is romney borrowing 20million when he has that kind of money to help himself, he gave his sons 1mil a piece, both sides have fundraising, only romney needs to not make anymore tapes with the rich who he favors over the 47%, romney is private & sneaky look at the tape tells it all about his private fundraiseing, I think PBO shows his, romney has private fund at much more wealthy donors than PBO, PBO tells the truth romney does not, romney strategie is to cheat, take away medicare,medicaid, & VOUCHER S.S to help the rich get richer, PBO's strategies are to help all americans & not take away medicare, medicaid, S.S. from everyone, romney is all about money & lies.romney wants to take away like he said he would & PBO wants to give us more that is the difference between the two campaign strategies.
I am pleased to see President Obama receiving support from people I respect and admire. Even I have been known to donate a few dollars in hope of having dinner with the President and some of my favorite celebs. I hope the event was profitable!
