With tonight marking the 1st Presidential Debate at the University of Denver all political eyes will be on the TV, and social media, to see what President Obama and former Governor Romney have to say as they tackle the country's top issues. The 1.5 hour long debate will begin with President Obama but Mitt Romney has the last word as the two of them discuss the economy, health care, and the role of the government.
We asked our Cyclists, S.E. and Krystal, what they expect to come out of tonight's match-up and here is what they had to say. Also, don't forget all of our Cyclists (@secupp, @krystalball1, @toure, and @stevekornacki) will be live tweeting throughout the debate and are always happy to become someones Twitter buddy if you are still in need of one.

can se cupp please stop making that horrible face of exaggerated disgust ,, it is so disgusting
SE Do you really believe that Barack is putting people against each other.
I am now confirming how dumb you can be at times...........the 47%
As much as I enjoy Ball, Toure and Kornacki, listening to Cupp's drivel is exasperating. Today, she calls POTUS divisive in a campaign where Mitt discards 47% of voters and pal Ryan scoffs at 30%. If I wanted to hear her kind of hogwash I would tune in to Fox news. She is not insightful, interesting or witty. Yarborough adds a different perspective to Morning Joe for the most part in a perceptive and knowledgeable manner but Cupp is just an annoyance and a self-important, petulant nuisance at that.
Why is Steve Kornacki the only member that gets to go to the events. Nothing gives you a better sense of something than first hand experience. Oh well, I guess Toure Neblett will just go to the convention and debates next time we have a black president, just like I'll go to my schools observatory next time Venus transits the sun...
You know, you can't have satisfactory relationships with people when it doesn't occur to them to try and earn 'your' respect. I personally have a lessened respect for people that don't possess this type of awareness. I think that it indicates some kind of intellectual defficiency, but this is all just my own speculative/rambling mind.
Made it to 12:23 before C Cup opened up her big fat hole to vomit rightwing propaganda. Why is she on the show? I'll turn the TV off now and wait for Martin Bashir at 1:00. Why is MSNBC trying to turn into FixedNews? So glad we now have Current TV! Stephanie Miller is the best show by far. See you at 1:00
That's what we do. So glad to hear we have company.....Go Stephanie!!!!!
If you admit there is separation of the classes, how do you address it without showing the differences? SE is able to see Obama's diviseness, but, for some reason doesn't see romney splitting the country in half? Those glasses must not be prescription because her sights are so near-sighted. Are there more poor or middle than rich? This is a majority based country in philosophy and I wouldn't see it as dividing but concerning oneself with those most in need. As a leader, it's a lot easier having the 99% on your side which doesn't leave much to "divide!" I have no problem with hearing from the other side but it would be much better if the argument was cogent.
I can't take it anymore! I've tried to watch this show but S.E. Cupp is just embarrassing. Some things just can't be 'spinned' no matter how hard she tries. The show already struggles to keep my attention because I find Torre to be weak and cliche, but Cupp makes it unbearable. Do yourself a favor and find another young conservative to add some real, substantive opinion. I know it may be a challenge but I have come to expect better from NBC. Either way, I won't be watching anytime soon. I'll check back in a few weeks to see if the show has upgraded. It does have promise...
S E Cupp is at it again, dominating the conversation and always getting the LASTWORD.
What is going on with her and all the nonverbals???
It DOES appear, today at least, that the other hosts are getting very tired of her
arrogant attitude.
I know I am!!!!!
it's high time you guys got rid of cupp. i realize the need for a conservative, but compared to any of the more convincing young commentators, this child -- however strong her beliefs -- is simply embarrassing, and the moreso for your network, which should strive for fairness whenever possible. every time she opens her mouth, what comes across is her utter weakness and lack of preparation.
I find the comments just said by I think Krystal Ball, insulting. Accusing this President of bringing a wedge between groups. The wedge was already there and talking about it, and bringing a light to it doesn't wedge the groups. It starts to heal the groups. He is the first president to say hey, SOmething is wrong here. The Rich have been fighting the poor for decades. The government HAS hurt the black and hispanic communities. Pushing drugs into urban areas, Allowing the cost of living to always be just above the amount you can make at work. This things and more are real. And for you to say he is not bringing us together is a lie. He is bringing us together, to finally fight those who want to destroy this country for a profit.
I was busy typing but I think the comment against the President was made by S E Cupp. The one with the "glasses"?
Krystal Ball (darker hair, no glasses) is very supportive of President Obama and has INTELLIGENT comments that ADD to the conversation.
I agree. Krystal is one of the main reasons I watch the show, she is a knowledgeable guest and an intelligent commentator. Too bad she is saddled with someone like Cupp so you sometimes change the channel and miss her viewpoints.
Hey morons Turkey just attacked Syria. And no you don't have company. MSNBC is less and less Liberal and you continue to waste your air time will all the rightwing whores on it. And I'm don't just mean C Cup. stop putting anyone on that spews rightwing talking points. Michael Steele is so far the only intelligent person on MSNBC that can express conservative views.
I also enjoy McCain's 2008 adviser Steve Schmidt. But the cuckoos give all conservatives a bad name and the drivel they spin is appalling.
I watch msnbc because I am relatively liberal, however I consider myself to be an objective viewer that can discern the fact that I enjoy a liberal slant but really would like a fairly objective view. After watching SE Cupp actually accuse the President of being racially divisive I had to look you up and express my disgust. If I wanted to watch Fox news then I would, but this isn't even remotely objective. I get that you are probably trying to not look bias and so she is on the station but her views are laughable and it makes me a little bit angry that she appears to be trying to sway viewers towards a Fox racist, sexist viewpoint. She really needs to go and I will no longer watch this segment.
Refering to SE's remarks about Obama creating a divide between the rich and the poor, and how both groups have something to be "egreged" about...Yes, I suppose the rich have every RIGHT to be pissed off about having more money now than they did in 2008 (See the Koch Bros, the Walton Family, Exxon/Mobile, and on and on). Give us all a break. The only people causeing a divide in this country are the lockstep GOP members of Congress who have slowed the economic growth for just about everybody except the super rich, by not doing what every other Congress has done during a recession.....PASS A JOBS BILL!!! PASS AN INFRASTRUCTURE BILL!!! SE is the perfect Republican, like Paul Ryan who doesn't want to get "wonky", she too thinks the American public is STUPID.
Please, for the love of all that is good GET RID OF S.E. CUPP. She is so hard to watch and makes ZERO sense. She sees only what she wants to see and it was painful for me to watch her try to accuse Obama of being divisive while IGNORING her blaring hypocrisy and that of her fellow conservatives by ignoring the extreme behavior of Romney, Ryan and everyone at Fox who LOVES to pit the rich against union workers, the have and the have nots, those who are in the 1% and those who are on welfare and food stamps. Not to mention the RACISM going on over there by talking about Obama's "accent" in this video. It's ridiculous. THEN you all let her get the last word. That's it. If she is on the show, I'm not watching it. **changing the channel*
I love the cycle, but I hate S.E.'s narrow comments. How can she see that Romney is anything BUT transcending by her standards - yet she throws her support behind him without reservation. Please consider changing her to a new address: The Faux Clue-less network.
S. E. Cupp is an embarrassment to the panel. She is so full of her right-wing talking points she is unable to put together an original thought. Her attack of President Obama - calling him the most divisive President...was uncalled for and reeked of someone who is so delusional she ought to be committed to a mental institution. I am all for hearing all sides but when S. E. opens her mouth, I am reminded of the United Negro College Fund line "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste."
I love your comment and I agree!!! Very funny.
I have to say that Barack Obama brought black and white together in turbulant times....when he was born..and has been working for it ever since!
SE, you must live in that bubble that Bill Maher keeps talking about. Maybe it goes both ways in that liberals hear dog whistles you conservatives never notice or deny and we don't hear dog whistles from the liberals that conservatives hear instantly. The only thing is that if you have someone from another country listen to what the liberals hear they are more likely to agree with us than they are with you. Just pay attention to other political figures from other democracies in Europe and who no dog in the hunt, I wonder why? My thoughts are that the brand of conservatism that is being espoused in the US now is a dying brand. Hopefully with the advent of the minorities controlling the electorate results by 2016 or 2020, your brand of conservatism will be extinct. Conservatism needs a total remake and the likes of the Tea Party, Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Laura Ingram, Rand Paul and the Manatee at Fox Noise will be selling popcorn at the locat ball game by 2016 ir 2020 rather than espousing lies and hate. Conservatism has its place, but not with hate driving their train, not with rules tilted towards the rich, not with religion in government, not with an activist conservative supreme court, not with the divestment of science or denial of scientific evidence and not with an uncharitable heart. I am willing to endure another four or even twleve years (with Hillary after Obama) of sacrifice financially as long as the country lets everyone have a fair shot. So to hell with Romney.
I just pray we can have Obama for four more years and then Hillary for two terms.
Maybe that will give Democrats time to straighten out the huge mess the
Republicans have made. I hope Dems will keep the senate and take back the
house. The GOP needs to "pay" for putting party over country!! In the newest WSJ
poll over 50% of those polled say they want one party in control. That has flipped
since 2010!!
I totally agree with your comment. Well said!
