After last night’s Presidential Debate in Denver both candidate are back on the campaign trail today. President Obama was in Denver earlier today and will be in Madison, Wisconsin this evening. Mitt Romney will be in the toss up state of Virginia this evening where he is looking to capitalize on his strong performance from last night’s debate.
Our Cyclists are going to analyze the debate from every angle during the Spin Cycle and help us all understand who won, who lost, and why everything went down as it did.
We’re also talking to NBC’s Luke Russert in Washington DC and Kathie Obradovich, Political Columnist in Des Moines, Iowa to find out how voters feel about the debate both in the beltway and across the country. Be sure to tune in at 3:10 to find out the answer.

The comment about Romney moving to the center, did he? I don't know where he is since he tries to say what anyone wants to hear. You can be energetic when you have no scruples and will say whatever to "win."
Because he is a Chameleon. Changing his colors to FOOL THE IGNORANT. How many ignoramus will be among the 60million + people who watched the debate.
What do they know about GOPers misconstruing the language of the constitutional rights of states. Romney wants to transfer again the programs that serve the needy to the states. Most people don't know that the taxes of the residents that choose to adopt those programs will go sky high, while the wealthy will move away from those states to avoid paying taxes. That is what Romney wants. To make a separation of welfare states and not welfare states. Those states will be overburdened as the needy moves to them.
That was the reason those programs became federally funded programs so we all share in the burden. So we all sacrifice.. If Romney wins we will see only those who cannot afford to move away paying for the needy. The wealthy will always drop their older seniors in those states. That used to be like that a long time ago.
S.E. Cupp in the tank for Romney? Equal pay for women? Choice? Sandra Fluke's denigration over contraception? Todd Akin? Scott Brown? Macaca Allen? Transvaginal ultra-sound probe Bob McDonald? S.E. Where does your candidate stand on these issues and the (R)USHubliCON party's "men"? Ms Cupp I know you don't vote with your vagina but at least use your brain. Do you get paid the same as the rest of the cxycle crew?
I find the vitriol used in discussing the debate distracting and definitely not contributing to a useful understanding of the issues.
Luke Russet who is usually quite good needs to stop with the football analogies and the drama. Not useful and not funny.
Winning or loosing is too simplistic.
I agree with the women who found Romney's tone boarding on threatening and unnecessarily aggressive. Interesting that all of the coverage I have seen saw this as contributing to Romney's "win". Again with the sports framework. I hadn't fully appreciated the depth sports informs analogies. Please find other frameworks to show your depth.
energetic or aggressive?
Last night we have a fine portrayal of a fine actor. Chameleon Romney shined, by changing his colors to fit the target audience. We were able to measure the extend of his abilities to lie and cheat and spin his way into an unsuspecting electorate. It will take a very educated audience to realize they were being pandered on. Liberals have a leg up on that because we have been on top of Chameleon Romney's shenanigans from the beginning.
We know already he is going to lie at every chance he gets. Obama gave him plenty of chances. During the next few weeks we will be debunking and hoping the public educate themselves and take heed.
OMG-sprint/off balance? I interpreted that as a relaxed pose--oh well the expert knows I am sure.
Not impressed nor convinced by guest.
this is science?????
Almost got it right Krystal, thanks for providing calm perspective, just stop generalizing, Obama is smart and thoughtful, give him a break.
People -- people. The whole "NEWS media" hype behind Mr. Romney's imaginary victory last night is centered on national pride; not crushing facts, not presidential charm and not a genuine humane demeanor. That's all fine and dandy.
But what's up with all of this barracking President Barack Obama?
One debate and all of a sudden (by t.v. land's account) it seems Mr. Romney has America's winning strategy.
Save us Mr. Romney from our own self-induced destructive end.

Now for all of you exceedingly-enthusiastic Romney fans out there here comes the President. ..:-)
Off the top of my head Romney lied on 3 points. 1- McKinsey report on Obamacare. 2 CBO backing the McKinsey report. 3 The [National] Federation of Independent Businesses claiming 700,000 jobs will be lost if President Obama raises the tax rate on 3% of businesses by 5%
McKinsey Group's report was called an economic analysis when it was merely a survey of opinion. Opinions manipulated by leading questions extolling how, under The Affordable Healthcare Act, inexpensive health insurance would be for the average worker, with govt subsidies. business owners were asked if they might drop their healthcare plans in that situation... only 30% fell for that fraud, saying they would.
The CBO report did not support the Mckinsey survey
The National Federation of Independent Business is far from independent. Since 1989 93% of it's contributions went to Republican candidates, higher than the Koch brothers (90%), Exxon/Mobil (86%) or the NRA (82%). Karl Rove's Crossroads GPS contributed $3.7 million to the NFIB in 2010, trying to convince the IRS that Crossroads' contributions were mostly non-partisan...lol
Any claim that a 5% increase in taxes on the profits of businesses earning GREATER THAN $250,000 will cause them to fire employees is ludicrous. All executive salaries would be untouched as would employee salaries... only the profit of the company would be taxed at a higher rate
Romney's claim that "I'm not in favor of a $5 trillion tax cut. That's not my plan"... Of course it is... or is it? What Romney means is that the $5 trillion in tax cuts is not the WHOLE plan and that reducing exemptions & closing loopholes will (along with the $5 trillion tax cut) help create jobs. There are simply not enough wealthy loopholes to generate that $5 trillion to counterbalance the tax cuts, and that the middle class & poor will bear the brunt of this burden.
President Obama didn't lose the debate, how can you lose a debate to someone who simply lied throughou?t
The rest of Romney's speech was similarly distored, twisted & manipulated... he is definitely not presidential material.
