The political world is on fire today breaking down every aspect of last night's debate performances. Pundits must be getting dizzy from all the spin. But is it the spin that matters most? Is it what candidates say or what pundits say the candidates say that really matters? We'll see as the week plays out.
So far both the DNC and RNC are out with videos spinning the debates.
President Obama is back on the trail today with the charisma and zing many supporters had hoped to hear from him last night. Many are asking "Where was this Obama last night?"
Mitt Romney is in Virginia tonight with Paul Ryan - which Romney do you think will show up? The charismatic and even humorous Romney we saw last night? Or the Romney we've seen on the campaign trail for the last 16 months?

"David Plouffe, President Obama, and his other strategic advisors are setting Romney up for an "October Surprise." Because of all the hype, pressure, and stress on Romney to perform in this debate, it is #1. Reasonable to believe that the first impression (made by either candidate) will be remembered in the minds of the undecided voters.
#2. It will be two weeks before the next debate, so anything positive or negative about Obama and Romney will linger in people's memory.
#3. Team Obama, cleverly minimized talking negative about Romney, and withheld a few potent rhetorical attacks, which will eventually show up later.
#4. The viewers ( of this debate) have just had their intellect and emotions conditioned to visualize and remember President Obama treating Romney with kindness and respect as his equal.
#5. President Obama knew that the economy was Romney's strongest area of expertise.
#6. He let Romney speak his mind to his heart's content. Romney did win the first debate, fair and square. However, this euphoria will come to an abrupt halt, during the week leading up to the second debate.
#7. The topics in the final two debates, are clearly what President Obama will be waiting to passionately make his case to Romney and the American Electorate.
#8. Romney's October Suprise is coming.....
